Privacy policy

The following privacy policy applies to the use of this website. As a rule, it is possible to use our website without having to provide any personal data. However, if you wish to use a particular service offered by our company through our website, the processing of personal data may become necessary.

This website is subject to the Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and incorporates the fundamental points of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) of the European Union (EU).

We are committed to ensuring the security of your data in compliance with the applicable data protection laws and the technical possibilities available. As a rule, we transmit your personal data in encrypted form. We use the SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption system, but we point out that data transfer over the Internet (e.g. when communicating by e-mail) may have security gaps.

This privacy policy is constantly supplemented and adapted in line with the legal framework and the services offered. In any case, the current data protection regulations always apply. Any changes take effect when they are published on our website.

Processing of personal data

You can register on the website by providing your personal data in order to use various services. The specific data entry form used for registration determines which personal data are transmitted to the controller.

Personal data means any information relating to an identified or identifiable person. This includes, for example, a person's name, address, e-mail address or telephone number. These personal data may be processed by us. Processing means any operation or set of operations, performed with or without the aid of automated processes and applied to personal data, such as collection, recording, organisation, sorting, storage, adaptation or alteration, retrieval, consultation, use, disclosure by transmission, dissemination or otherwise making available, alignment or combination, restriction, erasure or destruction.

The personal data you enter will be collected and stored exclusively for internal use by the controller and for its own purposes. Where possible, the data are anonymised. Anonymisation means that it is impossible to trace the identity of the data subject.

The criterion for the duration of storage of personal data is the respective retention period required by law or our legitimate interest in retaining the data, for example for the performance of a contract or for evidentiary purposes. Once this period has expired, the data concerned are routinely deleted.

Data collected directly by us

In connection with the use of our website and the related services, we may collect the following data:

Enquiry forms

If you are interested in a particular property offer, you can send us an enquiry by filling in a form. The specific data entry form determines which personal data are transmitted when making the enquiry. Your data may be recorded manually in a third-party provider's software or imported via the interface. Based on the stored data, we may offer you other property offers that match the criteria of your enquiry. Relevant property offers may be identified manually or automatically with the aid of software. We may contact you by e-mail, by post or by telephone to inform you of such property offers. You can cancel your registration for this service at any time.

Creating a property search profile

On our website, users have the option of creating a property search profile by filling in a form. The purpose of a property search profile is to inform us of your preferences regarding your property search. The data entry form used for this purpose determines which personal data are transmitted when the profile is created.

The personal data collected to create a property search profile are used exclusively to provide you with information on suitable property offers. The data transmitted may be recorded manually in a third-party provider's software or imported via the interface. If there are properties matching the search criteria, we may inform you by e-mail, by post or by telephone. We may also contact you at regular intervals to update your personal data relating to the property search profile. You can temporarily deactivate or permanently delete your property search profile at any time.

Newsletter subscription

You can subscribe to our company's newsletter by filling in the form or by sending an e-mail. Where possible, when the first newsletter is sent, a confirmation e-mail will be sent to the e-mail address provided using the double opt-in procedure. You can cancel your newsletter subscription at any time. Each newsletter contains a link to unsubscribe from the service. If this link is missing, please contact the data protection officer of our website.

Our newsletter may contain a web beacon. A web beacon (or tracking pixel) is a miniature graphic embedded in these e-mails that enables log files to be recorded and analysed. These are used for the statistical evaluation of the success or failure of online marketing campaigns. The analysis may be carried out anonymously or with reference to personal data. The loading of these external graphics / tracking pixels can be deactivated in the settings of all common e-mail programs.

Data collection in the application process

We may collect and process personal data provided by applicants in the course of an application process. Processing may also take place electronically. This applies in particular where an applicant sends us the relevant application documents electronically, for example by e-mail or via an online form on the website. The data transmitted are used exclusively in connection with the job profile for which the application was made.

Data collected through third-party services

In order to constantly improve the quality of our services, the following technologies have been integrated into our website:

Cookies

In certain cases we use cookies. Cookies make it possible to optimise the information and offers on our website in the interest of the user. Cookies enable us to recognise the users of our website. The purpose of this recognition is to make it easier for users to use our website. You can prevent our website from using cookies at any time by adjusting the settings of the internet browser you use accordingly, thereby permanently blocking the use of cookies.

Use of Google Analytics

Google Analytics is a web analytics service. Our web analysis involves the anonymous acquisition, collection and analysis of data on the behaviour of users visiting websites. A web analytics service records, among other things, data on: the website from which a user arrived at another website (ours), the subpage of the website visited, or the frequency and duration of the visit to a subpage. To record this information, Google Analytics uses a cookie. As indicated above, you can prevent our website from using cookies at any time by means of an appropriate setting in the internet browser you use.

Use of script libraries

In order to deliver content correctly or to protect it from spam, we use script libraries and font libraries on our website (e.g. Google Web Fonts for fonts, Google Ratings for ratings or Google Recaptcha to protect the website from spam). When a script or font library is called up, a connection is established with the provider of the library. The operator of the library may collect the data of this connection.

Use of Google Maps

We use a communication interface with Google's geo-specific data in order to display location information. In this context, Google records and uses data on the use of the map function. Information on Google's use of data can be found in Google's privacy policy.

Use of social plugins

Social plugins from various social network providers may be installed on our website. Through these plugins, the respective social networks use certain information, which may include personal data. If the data subject logs into a social network at the same time as visiting our website, it can be assumed that personal data will be transmitted to the social networks. We have no influence on the data used by the social networks. We do not use social plugins to record personal data. To find out how personal data are collected, processed and used, please consult the data protection policies of the social networks concerned.

Disclosure of data to third parties

To combat fraud and abuse, or if we otherwise suspect criminal activity, we may disclose your data to Swiss and foreign law enforcement authorities and courts.

Apart from the transmission of your data described above, we only pass on your data with your express consent in accordance with data protection law, if there are legal obligations, or if this is necessary to enforce our rights, in particular to enforce rights arising from the contractual relationship, which constitutes an overriding interest on our part.

Transfer of personal data abroad

We may also transfer your personal data to third-party companies or commissioned service providers abroad, in particular in Europe and the United States, provided this is appropriate for the purposes of the data processing described in this privacy policy. These are likewise obliged to protect data. If the level of data protection in a country does not correspond to that of Switzerland, we ensure by means of appropriate contractual provisions that the protection of your personal data always corresponds to that applicable in Switzerland. To ensure this, we conclude EU standard contractual clauses or other contracts approved by the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner with the commissioned service providers.

Duration of data storage

We store your data only for as long as is strictly necessary from a legal point of view or in accordance with the purpose of the processing, in particular for the performance of the mandate or contract and for the fulfilment of legal obligations.

In the context of the analysis, we store your data only until the conclusion of the process or until there has been an objection to further processing. Data archived as a result of a contractual relationship concluded with you will remain archived at least for as long as the contractual relationship exists, and not beyond the expiry of the limitation periods for any claims on our part, or in any case for as long as there are statutory or contractual retention obligations.

By law, we must retain the contents of the contact form and the subsequent correspondence by e-mail for six months.

Deletion will take place when your data are no longer required for the stated processing purposes and also when we are no longer required by law to retain them.

Data protection

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to carefully protect your data against loss, destruction, falsification, manipulation or unauthorised access. We operate secure data networks that comply with current technical standards. Our security measures are continuously adapted and improved in line with technological developments.

Our employees and the service companies we commission are bound to confidentiality and to compliance with data protection provisions.

Your rights as users of our website

The applicable laws grant you various rights in relation to your personal data. You can exercise the following rights with our data protection officer:

  • Obtain information about your stored data and their processing
  • Correction of incorrect personal data
  • Request the deletion of your stored data
  • Request the restriction of data processing, provided that legal obligations do not prevent us from deleting your data
  • Object to the processing of your data
  • Obtain data portability, i.e. receive the stored data in a machine-readable format, provided that you have consented to the data processing or have concluded a contract with us.

Please note that the exercise of these rights may be restricted, in whole or in part, for legal reasons or by virtue of data protection law. Where necessary and permitted by law, we will inform you of the reasons for our decision.
